Livermore, CA - The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) has successfully completed the refurbishment of the gymnasium floors at the Robert Livermore Community Center. This initiative, coinciding with the center’s 20th anniversary, upgraded a crucial facility that supports a variety of sports and events.

Fred Haldeman, Parks and Facilities Manager at LARPD, spoke about the importance of the project, stating, "The refurbishment of the gym floors is vital for extending their lifespan and ensuring they continue to meet the community’s recreational needs effectively."

The project involved sanding, resealing, and restriping the floors for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, preserving the gym’s capacity for diverse recreational use. It also addressed water damage, thereby enhancing the facility's durability.

The refurbished floors made their debut during the West Coast Jamboree tournament in December.
