The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is actively seeking volunteers to assist with our programs, services, and community special events.

New Volunteers

New Volunteers Application and Sign Up Process

1. Create an account and submit an application.

2. Upload Volunteer Documentation* to your volunteer profile.

Volunteers who are under 18 years of age require parent/guardian consent.
Volunteers must be age 13+ unless approved in advance by the event supervisor.

3. Once you have submitted an application, you may log in to your LARPD volunteer account on MyImpactpage.com. You can also download our phone app through this LINK.

4. Select the [Opportunities tab] and sign up for a Volunteer opportunity by clicking the [+ Sign Up] or [Signup for Selected] button (App).

Volunteer Opportunity Highlights

Community Service Day (9/7)

The 2024 Community Service Day was rescheduled for September 7th. Please join us to volunteer from 8:30-11:30 am.

Let's come together for volunteer projects from the City of Livermore, Livermore Area Recreation and Park District - LARPD and Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District to enhance the beauty and quality of life in Livermore.

Following the volunteer projects will be a complementary lunch at the Las Positas College track/field and soccer complex (3000 Campus Hill Drive) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Attendees will be treated to *LIVE ENTERTAINMENT* from local band Crawdad Republic!

Puzzle Palooza (10/6 and 10/13)

Volunteers are needed for this event.

Upon arrival, teams will receive the mystery puzzle and a table to work on. Teams will have three hours to complete the 750-piece puzzle, and the first three teams to finish will receive a prize!

NEW! Boo Bash (10/26)

Help volunteer at this family-friendly event like no other- join us for the Halloween Boo Bash at LARPD! This hauntingly delightful gathering is perfect for families looking to embrace the Halloween spirit in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Sycamore Grove: Open Space Volunteer Days - Ongoing

Upcoming Dates:

Saturday, 10/19, 9a-12p

Saturday, 11/16, 9a-12p

Join the LARPD Rangers for a volunteer work day in the park every third Saturday of the month. From removing invasive plants to litter pick-ups to trail maintenance, volunteers will help maintain Sycamore Grove Park as a beautiful and healthy place for visitors and wildlife.
Participants will hike out into the park, possibly going off trail.

Please dress for being outdoors; sun protection and layers are recommended. Bring water as well! If you have gloves, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some spares we can provide.

Ages 14 and older. Individuals and groups are welcome

May contain: clothing, shorts, glove, art, collage, plant, vegetation, person, footwear, shoe, hat, t-shirt, soil, adventure, hiking, leisure activities, nature, outdoors, accessories, and glasses

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Native Gardens at Sycamore Grove Park! Our gardens highlight plants native to our area and their incredible ecological and cultural connections. We are always happy to have volunteers help out around the garden, regardless of their experience with gardening and/or native plants. Tasks change seasonally and include:

Weeding
Leaf Removal
Mulching
Planting
Seed Collecting
Pruning

We will provide volunteers with tools and gloves to work in the garden, but volunteers are more than welcome to bring their own tools and gloves.
